With over 170 years of combined experience, we are the most experienced vegan fitness coaching team in the world.
Members of our coaching team have degrees and certifications in everything from psychology, physiology, neuroscience, nutrition, strength training, injury prevention, rehabilitation, yoga, and more. We also have a full-time vegan dietician on our staff. We have also competed at the highest levels of Olympic weightlifting, physique competitions (figure, bikini, and bodybuilding), CrossFit, powerlifting, and endurance racing.
Coach Andrew, CPT, WLS, CF-L1
Andrew is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Weight Loss Specialist (WLS), and a CF-L1 Trainer in the CrossFit space. He began his own fitness journey after coming to the realization that he had gained 35 pounds since graduating high school. Eager to make change, he immersed himself into evidence-based training and nutrition and lost 30 pounds while gaining plenty of muscle along the way. Andrew’s primary motivation is to inspire others to choose compassion and kindness toward our animal friends.
Coach Arman, CPT
After discovering the power of a plant-based diet, Arman started his journey of building muscle and strength. He is an elite powerlifter well-versed in all aspects of training who is currently chasing the Spanish deadlift record. Arman’s extensive background in nutrition, training, and data analytics allows him to get clients predictable results. He has a love for data and the answers it can help us find, and he uses this same mentality with Coaching. Arman’s biggest passion in life is to help himself and others continually improve in every way possible.
Coach Brian, CPT
Brian’s passion for fitness started around 12 years old when he first began to strength train for tae kwon do, football, wrestling, and track and field. At 17, he began personal training clients and he's now been training people for over a decade. He specializes in helping vegans burn stubborn body fat while improving their body composition to help his clients build strong, lean bodies! Brian believes that all vegans have the power to become healthy and fit athletes, and that’s why he’s dedicated his life to helping vegans achieve their full potential.
Coach Daphne, CPT, MD, PhD
Daphne is a vegan health coach, an IFBB Bikini pro, and has a lifelong passion for health and fitness. She has a PhD in physiology and began her career as a physician. Her expertise in lifestyle medicine, fitness, and nutrition gives her a powerful toolkit to help her clients transform their lives. Daphne is a Certified Group Exercise Instructor, Certified Weight Management Specialist, and Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist. She believes in a holistic approach to health with a focus on nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, sleep, and community.
Coach Emma, CPT
Emma is a Certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelor's degree in Human Physiology, Neuroscience, and Nutrition. Her expertise in fitness and nutrition combined with her background in neuroscience is a powerful combo. She's an IFBB Pro bikini competitor with a 1st place win at the Olympia Portugal 2020, 2nd place at the Arnold Australia 2019, and a 1st Place finish at the Bendigo Country Classic in 2018. Emma's motivating and encouraging approach to coaching will leave you with passion, purpose, and drive to become the best version of yourself!
Coach James, CPT
After witnessing several family members suffer from disease including alcoholism, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases like dementia, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer's, James read The China Study and became vegan in 2018. James joined the Vegan Superhero Academy (VSA) as a client in June of 2020 with a goal to take control of his health in his 40s by losing body fat, building muscle, and learning more about vegan nutrition. The program had such a tremendous impact on James that he left his corporate job to help others achieve similar transformations.
Coach Laura, CPT, USAW
Laura is a Certified Sports Performance Coach and Certified Yoga Coach, as well as a competitive athlete in Olympic weightlifting. She has 20 years of coaching experience working with all age groups and abilities, from top-level athletes to beginners. Her passion to help others started after overcoming an eating disorder that nearly took her life. She is on a mission to help others become strong and confident vegan athletes. Laura graduated from the VSA in April 2019 and loved it so much that she decided to come back as a coach!
Coach Lukasz, CPT
Lukasz's fitness journey began with resistance training, which transformed both his physique and mindset. He became a personal trainer in 2020, driven by his passion for helping others achieve their goals and become the strongest, most confident version of themselves. Lukasz believes that a plant-based diet and structured fitness plans can benefit anyone looking to improve their health and wellness. He is dedicated to providing his clients with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential and lead happy, healthy lives.
Coach Marc, CPT
Marc has been a Certified Personal Trainer for over 7 years and is a fully qualified nutritionist (BSc). He was driven to become a coach after overcoming his battle with obesity. Marc lost almost 90 lbs and completely transformed his body composition. He has been vegan for over 5 years and is a massive advocate for the vegan lifestyle to improve your quality of health. Marc has a huge passion for helping people change their lives and overcome obstacles. He wants everyone to know that veganism is a great foundation for a fit, happy, and healthy life.
Coach Mark, CPT
Mark is a certified personal trainer with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. He has never eaten red meat, been vegetarian most of his life, vegan for over 4 years and counting, and has been into health and fitness for over a decade. Mark has an immense passion for helping people and will always give it his all to help them succeed. With his background in psychology combined with vast experience in nutrition and training, Mark has developed a great knowledge in how to help people through whatever struggles they are facing, physically and mentally, and come out stronger on the other side.
Coach Michael, CPT
As all of his clients will tell you, Michael has a heart of gold. With his background in vegan nutrition, calisthenics, body recomposition, and a Psychology degree, he loves helping other build happy, healthy, fit vegan lifestyles. Michael went vegan in 2017, and has built the vast majority of his muscle on a fully plant-based diet. After seeing first-hand what a plant-based diet can do, he has made it his life's mission to help other vegans crush their fitness goals. Michael will not only help you achieve all your fitness goals but help you enjoy the process and feel like your best self while doing so!
Coach Mislav, CPT
Mislav began his fitness journey as an elite rower and transitioned into a competitive bodybuilder. After many years spent competing at a high level, he now focuses more on staying active through weightlifting, bicycling, and taking long walks while listening to audiobooks and podcasts. He is a certified personal trainer with 12 years of coaching experience and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiotherapy. He's also a published author with vast experience treating eating disorders, specifically compulsive and emotional eating disorders.
Coach Ruari, CPT
Ruari became vegan in 2017 after watching the documentary Earthlings and learning the truth about animal agriculture. He later got into fitness and found a love for bodybuilding, but struggled to find a coach that was both vegan and an experienced bodybuilder. He chose to take up the challenge and become a certified personal trainer, earn his Level 1 Precision Nutrition certification, and start training for his first bodybuilding show. He has a genuine love for people and learning their stories, and is passionate about creating a unique experience by helping people overcome their obstacles and achieve things they never thought were possible.
Coach Sarah, CPT
Sarah is a vegan nutrition and fitness coach with a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Psychology. She is also a certified personal trainer and pilates and yoga instructor. Sarah believes in taking a holistic approach to health and wellness, with a focus on moving and fueling your body in a way that fosters longevity and the creation of healthy habits that last a lifetime. Sarah’s coaching style is to lead with kindness and empathy. Her positive and encouraging approach to coaching will motivate and fuel you with a passion to reach your ultimate goals and to live a fulfilled, balanced life of kindness to yourself and to others around you.
Coach Simeon, CPT
Simeon’s journey began as a skinny kid who struggled to gain muscle and improve performance. Through years of research and learning, he has developed a passion for understanding how the body works in order to optimize diet and training. After obtaining a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Simeon became a Certified Personal Trainer and began his passion of offering plant-based coaching services. He embodies the belief that we all have the power within to achieve our goals. Simeon has broad experience working with hundreds of clients of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.
Coach Zach, CPT
Zachary is a prior service Army medic with a deep background in prehospital and hospital Emergency Medicine. He spent 3 years on an ambulance responding to medical aids and 4 years working in an Emergency room as a Combat Medic. Zach began noticing a broken medical system that was more reactive than proactive. He decided to work directly with people to prevent their disease, rather than handing them a prescription and sending them on their way. After graduating from the Vegan Superhero Academy in 2021, Zach decided to come back as a coach. His calling in life is to help people and share the benefits of exercise and proper nutrition.
Success Coach Elke
Elke has been vegan since 2015 and has a passion for sustainability in food systems. She is a huge advocate for supporting local farmers, developing healthy relationships with food, and playing around with home fermentation. Though she went vegan after learning about the environmental impact of animal agriculture, her motivation to eat plants quickly evolved to include personal health and compassion for other beings. Her athletic journey is now focused on building strength, endurance, and mobility to chase all the outdoor adventures she loves! She loves empowering people in their health and fitness journeys!
Success Coach Joff
Joff (full name: Fridtjov) has been a vegan for 4 years and is a huge animal advocate! He currently lives in Cyprus with his partner and the three cats they rescued from the streets. While his biggest motivation to go vegan was his compassion towards animals, he's grown to see the impact of following a plant-based diet on his health and fitness as well. His current fitness journey is now focused on building strength and unstoppable energy so he can show up and serve the world to the best of his ability! He is a former coach and loves talking with people from all walks of life to help them transform their bodies and lives.
Coach Kristen, RD
Kristen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specialized in plant-based preventative health and nutrition. After stumbling upon a famous speech by Gary Yourofsky, Kristen has made it her life mission to master vegan nutrition. She is experienced in food sensitivities, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiac, renal, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hormone imbalance, and intuitive eating. Her drive for nutrition began after years of battling with IBS and made a full recovery from anorexia and a binge eating disorder.
Coach Leif, CPT
Leif is a leading expert in the field of vegan fitness. He went vegan in 2014 after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Since then, he has published numerous books on the topics of plant-based nutrition, vegan fat loss, and vegan muscle growth. He’s certified personal trainer, certified plant-based nutrition expert, and the host of one of the top vegan fitness podcasts in the world: The Vegan Gym Podcast. Leif has completed a full Ironman, deadlifted 500 pounds, and gained 50 pounds of vegan muscle.
Coach Anders, CPT
Anders is a nationally qualified vegan physique competitor and Head of Client Success at the Vegan Superhero Academy. During his 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, Anders trained in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, earned distinction as an Expert Rifle Marksman, led the Marine Body Composition Program, and commanded Marines through High-Intensity Tactical Training. He's worked with hundreds of clients as a certified personal trainer and co-hosts The Vegan Gym Podcast with his brother Leif.
